The Milton S. Carothers Faculty Lecture Series is the longest running, regularly occurring, interdisciplinary lecture series at Florida State University. The purpose of the series is to promote the research and creative activities of FSU's faculty in an interdisciplinary environment that translates those activities across boundaries to a broad audience with an eye toward bridging academic disciplines, facilitating interdisciplinary collaborations, and promoting faculty research, on and off campus.

All lectures are free and open to the public.  Lectures take place in the Bradley Reading Room at FSU's Strozier Library. All are welcome! You may bring your own lunch, or pre-register for lunch provided courtesy of FSU's Office of Research. RSVPs are required for the provided lunch.

This diverse panel of women writers will discuss what the deep south looks like and how it's perceived from its contemporary women writers. This panel will explore how the current socio- and geopolitical climate of Florida affects the feminist hivemind, voice, and literature.

Poetry at the Dali, Dali Museum, St. Petersburg, FL

Poetry at The Dali is an ongoing series hosted by St. Petersburg Poet Laureate, Helen Wallace. Occurring on the second Thursday of each month through May 2018, each evening will feature Wallace joined by selected poets to present poems addressing the theme of “Cages and Liberation.” Following the presentation, there will be an audience Q&A.
